COUNCIL DISTRICTS IMPACTED: 2
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Staff had previously brought a recommendation for yellow center line pavement markings and an extended no parking zone for Avery Parkway to the Transportation and Traffic Advisory Board and City Council. City Council directed staff to take another look at the traffic on Avery Parkway in front of Clear Spring Elementary School during school pick-up and drop-off times and to come back in June 2022 with an update. Traffic operations at Clear Spring Elementary School have changed since the initial study, so in Spring 2022, staff completed a second traffic study. The summary of that study is attached.

Staff has a new recommendation for Avery Parkway after City Council gave direction to restudy the area surrounding Clear Spring Elementary School.
