BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

At the last Animal Services Advisory Board (ASAB) meeting staff provided information on the City’s board and commission appointment process. The ASAB was first established in 2013, when the community was smaller. Since then, many new related businesses have opened, existing ones have expanded, and thousands of new residents have moved to New Braunfels. Many of the new residents likely have interests in the topics the ASAB reviews and considers. And, with the growth, more issues for the ASAB to advise City Council on will arise.

In light of these community changes and in the spirit of continuous improvement, staff is seeking any input or ideas on changes to the board makeup or structure to improve processes and service delivery to our community’s residents.
