DISCUSSION:
The proposed project is aimed at rehabilitating the parking surface of the Landa Park Aquatics Center Parking Lot and meeting water quality protection requirements associated with the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan (EAHCP).
The proposed water quality improvements are in the form of a vegetated swale that will accept and treat stormwater runoff from the parking surface prior to discharging to the Comal River.
The engineers estimate for parking lot and water quality feature construction is $721k. A funding request in the amount of $600k will be submitted to the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Program (EAHCP). The city will fund the remaining amount from the FY2023 budget.
