BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
City Hall is currently serviced by over 34 roof top HVAC units which are each independently controlled by thermostats throughout the building. Not having the functionality of centralized control and scheduling of these units causes significant inefficiencies in the system and increased utility usage.
This project will provide individual control modules to each unit which will allow for them to be interconnected and integrated into the Carrier iVue controls system, which is currently in use at several City facilities, including the new Police Department building.
ISSUE:
Continue an ongoing program of infrastructure and maintenance
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in FY 2022 for this expenditure, therefore sufficient funds are available. The Public Works Department will absorb this cost from vacancy savings as well as operating accounts from the Facilities Division.
