Presentation, Update, and Discussion on the Comal River Improvements Project

DISCUSSION:
Staff will present a summary and update on the Comal River Improvements Project. The City of New Braunfels contracted with Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the City’s infrastructure on the Comal River. The project includes an existing conditions assessment, improvement concepts development, and stakeholder and public input. The City and FNI developed draft improvement concepts for the Tube Chute, Weir Dam #2, and the Last Public Exit with input from the River Advisory Committee and Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Staff will also present the next steps of the concepts for the next project development phase.
