BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On March 9, 2023, NBEDC approved final design funding for the Castell Avenue Phase 1 Project which addresses drainage concerns by making improvements to the storm drain system on Coll Street between Castell Avenue and the Comal River.
The 60% design plans have been received and reviewed by staff. Staff is seeking direction from NBEDC regarding the final scope of the right-of-way enhancements and the extent of utility adjustments including the potential to convert all overhead utilities to underground. The 100% design plan for this phase is expected in the summer, pending direction on the underground conversion.
This presentation will provide an update on the project and offer the NBEDC design options to move the project forward.
